Crimps is an Australian-owned business built on a single idea: certified product made to Australian standards, sourced direct, and priced without the layers in between.
Crimps is an Australian fastener supply business. We import structural fasteners and building hardware direct from manufacturers we've qualified ourselves, and supply them to fabricators, contractors, and trade merchants across Australia.
The business sits on more than ten years of international procurement and supply chain experience — working with international manufacturers, reviewing batch certification, and supplying product into the Australian market against AS/NZS standards. Most of that work has been done inside larger procurement operations. Crimps applies it on a smaller scale, for customers who don't have a full procurement team of their own.
The reason for setting up this way is straightforward. Most fastener supply in Australia runs through several layers between the mill and the end user. Each layer adds cost. For buyers who already know what they need and already buy to spec, those layers stop earning their margin. Crimps removes them.
Every order that requires a NATA-accredited test certificate is provided, matched to the batch. Every quote includes the lead time to your yard.
That's the business.
If you already buy to Australian Standard, you already do the hard work. Crimps exists so you stop paying a premium for a compliance story that's been retold three times on the way to you.
A short list. But it drives every decision — from which factories we work with, to which lines we quote, to what we ship.
We quote like-for-like against the relevant AS/NZS or ISO standard. If a line can't be matched on spec, we say so before we quote it — not after you've bought it.
Independently tested mechanical test certificates available across all structural applications, ensuring traceability from the container back to the heat number.
Our pricing is strong because our model is lean. It also means we're not pretending to hold every SKU in a national warehouse network. If we can't support your volume, we'll say so upfront.
We close the gap between what Australian fabricators and distributors pay for structural fasteners — and what those same fasteners cost from the mill. Our mission is to provide transparent and global product access to buyers.
Every line is matched to the relevant Australian Standard and supplied with an independent NATA-accredited test certificate. If it doesn't match the spec, we don't supply it.
We source direct from audited manufacturers — not through importers, wholesalers, or tiered distributors. Fewer links means a lower landed cost without cutting spec.
Our business is built on procurement expertise, not a sales-first model. Quotes are detailed, comparable, and include the compliance documentation needed to substitute an existing supplier.
We build long-term trade accounts, not one-off sales. Account pricing, repeat order programs, and a team that responds promptly. The more consistent your volume, the better your pricing gets.
Crimps works on a container-at-a-time model rather than holding a full import warehouse. That keeps working capital low and landed cost honest.
For large, regular lines, we forecast demand with trade-account customers and bring in stock against agreed commitments — so when you receive a quote, it's already for product that's either on the way or imminently will be.
It's the right model for procurement-led customers who can plan their fastener spend a container or two ahead, in exchange for pricing that reflects what it really costs to get a compliant bolt from a certified factory into an Australian fabricator's yard.
Send us a line from your current price list — or a full RFQ — and we'll come back with matched pricing, the standard we're quoting against, and a sample plus test cert if required.
